EP 1: Battle Of Cadzand
The roots of one of the most famous conflicts of the Middle Ages are found in a French succession crisis. On February 1, 1328, King Charles IV of France died without a male heir. After his death, there were two contenders for the French crown: King Charles’ cousin Count Philip of Valois and the 17-year old King Edward III of England.
